Indian Airlines Launch Enticing Offers
After witnessing record-high airfares in May, July-August seems to be the month of offer showers by Indian airlines. From Vistara, IndiGo, and Akasa Air, all the airlines are here with their best offers, like discounts, cashbacks, and more.
These reduced prices are designed to draw passengers during the customarily slower months in an effort to increase ticket sales. Airlines want to increase passenger traffic and boost off-peak travel demand by offering alluring deals.
Compared to April and May, when demand peaked during the summer vacation season and supply became constrained, airfares saw a considerable drop in July. The off-season for travel is thought to be between July and August.
On July 31, there was a notable drop in travellers, with a total of 372,050 passengers being registered. This represented a decrease of about 14% from the record-breaking total of nearly 432,000 passengers observed in May, which exceeded pre-Covid levels. (As per The Financial Express)

The “Vistara Monsoon Sale” was introduced by Vistara Airlines in July. It mentioned that the airline offers domestic flight tickets starting at $1,499. The airline also offers international flight tickets starting at $11,799, respectively. Additionally, customers can purchase tickets by July 4th, 2023, for travel through March 23rd, 2024.

On August 2, Akasa Air announced grand and special offers to commemorate the first anniversary and a year of providing commercial flying services. With the special anniversary sale, travellers may save up to 15% on tickets to any of the 16 domestic locations that are part of the Akasa Air network.

The largest carrier in the nation, IndiGo, has started a special campaign as part of its 17th anniversary celebrations. On August 2 and 3, travellers who buy tickets using the airline’s website and mobile application will receive a substantial 12% discount. On August 4, the discount will thereafter drop to 7%.
