The G20 Summit in New Delhi was the largest such gathering the country had held in forty years. After successfully bringing all of the G20 leaders to an understanding, the summit’s approval of a declaration came to an end. The entire summit acted as a stage to showcase India’s rich culture and tradition, aside from the diplomatic success. G20 leaders were taking some lovely hamper with them. From Araku coffee to Kashmiri saffron, here’s what the hamper included!

Gifts G20 Leaders Took Back Home From India

The hamper for G20 leaders included heritage items, keeping in mind the distinctive biodiversity and cultural customs of India.

Kashmiri Saffron

The most costly spice in the world is Kashmiri saffron. It is sometimes referred to as red gold and is renowned for its therapeutic and culinary properties.

Araku Coffee

Araku Coffee is the first terroir-mapped coffee in the world. Andhra Pradesh grows this spectacular coffee. The coffee grows sutainably.

Sundarbans Honey

The distinctive and opulent flavor profile of Sundarbans honey reflects the region’s biodiversity. It combines nectar from many mangrove flowers, including Khalisha, Bani, and Garan, to achieve a balance between earthy and sweet tones. Compared to other kinds of honey, it has less viscosity.

Largest Gathering Held In India in 40 Years

Sandook

Sheesham (Indian rosewood), costs for its strength, durability, unusual grain patterns, and deep color. It was used to manufacture the Sandook that was given to the G20 leaders. The wood had been carefully engraved and inlaid with the brass patti (strip).

Kashmiri Pashmina Shawl

The Kashmiri pashmina shawl comes from the wool of the most rare goat in the world, the Cashmere goat. This goat lives at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level.

Darjeeling And Nilgiri Tea

Aromatic Pekoe Darjeeling grows at an altitude of 3000-5000 feet in the West Bengali hills.  Nilgiri Tea grows at an altitude of 1000–3000 feet in the South Indian Himalayas. 

Zighrana Ittar

Zighrana Ittar represents the beautiful heritage of perfume making, which comes from Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. For the hydro-distillation process used to create perfume, artisans select rare jasmine and rose blossoms early in the morning, when their aroma is strongest.

The G20 summit marked the conclusion of India’s year-long presidency of the grouping of the world’s leading economies. It was the largest such gathering the country had held in forty years.
