Get ready to trade your desert shoes for flip-flops. Qiddiya City is turning up the heat and then cooling it right down with Aquarabia, Saudi Arabia’s biggest water theme park. The buzz? It’s nearly ready. Construction wraps up this year, and once the gates open, it’ll be all splash, thrills, and waves.

This won’t just be the Kingdom’s first water theme park. It’s also expected to be the largest of its kind in the region, sitting proudly next to Six Flags Qiddiya City. If you’ve been craving more than just dune bashing and beach strolls, this is your new summer obsession.
Big Rides, Bigger Records
Aquarabia will be packed with 22 rides and family-friendly experiences, but some of them are going straight into the record books. Four rides will break world records, including:
- The tallest water coaster in the world
- The tallest body slide drop
- The longest mat racer
- The tallest water slide
Also in the mix? The first underwater adventure ride, where fully submersible cars take guests on a surreal ride below the surface. That’s not something you’ll find anywhere else in the Middle East.
Surfing, Cliff Jumping & Wild Adventures
This is not a water park for lazy river types only. Aquarabia is also building an extreme water sports zone. You’ll get your heart racing with wild activities like rafting, kayaking, cliff jumping, and even canyoneering through rocky water trails. There’s free solo climbing for the brave, and a surf pool for the wave chasers.
Speaking of surfing, say hello to Surftopia. You’ll get real waves, up to two metres high, across a pool the size of a football field. The park promises four customisable wave types, so whether you’re a pro or just finding your sea legs, there’s a wave waiting for you.
Meet Junoon Drop, If You Dare

One ride is already stealing the spotlight. Junoon Drop is the world’s tallest and longest water coaster. It shoots you uphill in a flash, then throws you into pitch-black twists, sharp turns, and a freefall that’ll leave your stomach behind. Just when you catch your breath, you race through a glowing flume lit with AquaLucent stripes before spinning into a wild 180-degree turn. Oh, and the drop? It’s as tall as a 12-storey building.
Built With A Purpose
Aquarabia is not just about fun. They’ve built it to be kind to the planet. The park will reuse water smartly, cut down water waste by up to 90 percent, and keep energy use low. So, you get all the thrills without harming the environment.
Its location within Qiddiya City means you won’t be stuck in queues and parking nightmares. The whole area is walkable, lined with hotels, green spaces, restaurants, and even calm zones to help you recharge between the high-energy rides.

What’s Next In Qiddiya?
Aquarabia is just the beginning. Six Flags Qiddiya City, set to launch alongside the water park, brings 28 more rides to the mix. Some of them are breaking records too, like Falcons Flight, the world’s fastest, tallest, and longest rollercoaster.
The rest of Qiddiya City won’t be quiet either. Expect attractions like the Dragon Ball theme park, the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium, a multi-use gaming and esports district, and the Speed Park Track.
