According to News18, the Indian Railways is set to expand its Vande Bharat Sleeper network, with discussions underway for nine new routes. Among the most talked-about proposals is the Delhi-Mumbai route, which could significantly reduce travel time on one of the country’s busiest rail corridors.

While the Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper route has already received approval, several other routes are reportedly under consideration. These include New Delhi-Ahmedabad, New Delhi-Howrah, New Delhi-Chennai, New Delhi-Secunderabad, New Delhi-Pune, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, and New Delhi-Srinagar.

However, it is important to note that Indian Railways has not officially confirmed these routes yet. They remain proposed corridors that are widely discussed due to strong passenger demand and their importance as major intercity connections.

Designed to offer a more comfortable overnight travel experience, the coaches feature a cleaner layout, improved lighting, premium finishes, and better space utilisation.
