From Bengaluru-Mumbai To Delhi-Chennai, Railways Plans 9 Vande Bharat Sleeper Routes Soon

India’s railway infrastructure is ever expanding, and Vande Bharat trains are playing a key role in its modernisation. While normal Vande Bharat trains are already operational across the country, Indian Railways is now focusing on the rollout of Vande Bharat Sleeper trains. Designed for long-distance travel, these trains promise greater comfort on overnight journeys. To further strengthen the network, Indian Railways has planned nine new Vande Bharat Sleeper routes, and here’s all you need to know about it.

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Network Set For Expansion

According to News18, the Indian Railways is set to expand its Vande Bharat Sleeper network, with discussions underway for nine new routes. Among the most talked-about proposals is the Delhi-Mumbai route, which could significantly reduce travel time on one of the country’s busiest rail corridors.

While the Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper route has already received approval, several other routes are reportedly under consideration. These include New Delhi-Ahmedabad, New Delhi-Howrah, New Delhi-Chennai, New Delhi-Secunderabad, New Delhi-Pune, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, and New Delhi-Srinagar.

However, it is important to note that Indian Railways has not officially confirmed these routes yet. They remain proposed corridors that are widely discussed due to strong passenger demand and their importance as major intercity connections.

1st Look Of Mumbai-Bengaluru Sleeper Train Unveiled

The buzz around the expansion of the Vande Bharat Sleeper network comes just days after the first look of the First AC coach of the upcoming Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper train was unveiled. Featuring premium interiors, modern cabins, and upgraded amenities, the train has already generated excitement among rail enthusiasts and frequent travellers alike.

Designed to offer a more comfortable overnight travel experience, the coaches feature a cleaner layout, improved lighting, premium finishes, and better space utilisation. Passengers can also expect upgraded washrooms, advanced passenger information display systems, enhanced security measures, and CCTV surveillance, making the journey both more comfortable and secure.
