Redditor, @u/thekips_ shared a fun food bar graph on the Reddit page @r/bangalore. The bar graph shows a short pictorial representation for “taste” and a long one for “hype”. The Netizen asks Redditors which food is a good representation of this chart.
As per the Redditor’s opinion, Hoskote Biryani, biryani prepared in Hoskote, a town nestled 30 km away from Bengaluru. This biryani typically prepared with mutton is known to be flavoursome and aromatic. However, Redditor, @u/thekips_ calls it overhyped. Where the taste doesn’t match its hype. @zeusakash states that standing in line for this breakfast biryani at 5 in the morning isn’t worth it.
@Due-Guest-5896 comments that all dishes in The Rameshwaram Cafe are overhyped. @pasipatamarana agrees that they’d rather drink a litre of ghee and puke it off instead of consuming dishes there. The Redditor goes on to state the dislike for ghee and the overload of ghee in their dishes are reasons to call this South Indian restaurant overhyped. In @Folabi_Devvvvv’s opinion, Meghana Biryani’s taste is not as good as its hype.
Momos, 99 Variety Dosas, Toit’s Food & More
@Adept-Jump-3259 comments, “Toit! So much hype, food is so basic tho!”. The Redditor slammed the popular Bengaluru brewery for serving basic, overhyped food. To this, @jalpaanz comments that Toit had “amazing” wings before most restaurants in Bengaluru even had this dish on the menu. Instead of the food, people mainly visit the brewery for its brews. The Redditor recommends Toit’s Dark Knight, a Nitro Stout.
