Travelling in trains is probably one of the most fun, cheap, and convenient ways to get around in the country. While it is a bit time-consuming, it is definitely worth it since you can take in beautiful views and pretty vistas. India has three semi-high-speed train services, one of which is the Tejas Express. It connects many major cities in the country and is one of the faster trains. Here is what you can nibble on while travelling on the train.
Tejas Express: What All You Can Snack On
If you’ve travelled long distances via trains, you know that trains provide catering and meals during really long journeys. A passenger recently took to Twitter and showed us all the snacks she received on the journey and it looks absolutely delicious.
The tray seemed to be full of evening snacks. Along with instant tea, you can see a pack of the delicious Lotte Choco Pie, a much-loved snack in the country. Along with other items, you can also see a pack of special Chhaas and a pack of Chakris.
Surely, after so delicious a spread, your enjoyment of the views outside will increase tenfold. The image was accompanied by the caption “Thanks IRCTC for the excellent standard of service on board.” It was posted on the 2nd of April around 6:00 PM. Since it was posted on the micro-blogging website yesterday, it has garnered over 2.6 thousand views.

The Vegetarian Meal Seemed Filling & Delicious Too
The same user, after a couple of hours, again posted a photo of her dinner on her account. The dinner, like the tea-time snacks, was provided by the IRCTC. It seemed to be a vegetarian meal and included all the staples for a wholesome and tasty meal.
The photograph, which was posted on the same thread, showed a pack of Dal, rice, dry veggies, which we think are some sort of mix veg sabzi, a dish made of paneer, a small pack of curd, some rotis wrapped in foil and tiny pack of achaar. We’re sure that after such a delicious meal, the passenger slept soundly and comfortably.
