From NYC To Paris: How Cats, Sponge Cake And Donut Took A 7-Hour Flight Like Pros!

From security checks to the comfort and safety of your furry companions, the process can be both exciting and a bit overwhelming. A viral video shows how two kitties travel to Paris from NYC without missing a beat. Come, take a look at the flight journey of the NYC cats.

NYC Cats’ Parisian Adventure

While Paris is a dream for many, in a clip shared by the pet influencer handle @spongecake_thescottishfold on Instagram, kitties Sponge Cake and Donut are seen taking a trip to the ‘City of Love’ with their beloved owner. The fashion capital is known for holding soft spots for pets, especially cats and dogs. There are various cafes (especially with outdoor seating arrangements) and parks that allow pet owners to visit with their furry companions. Many hotels in Paris especially boutique accommodations, are pet-friendly, and the metro even allows small pets if they’re in carriers.

The American Aristocats, Maybe?

Cats today are trained to do different tricks and are awarded for the same (well, most times!). In this clip, Sponge Cake and Donut seemed to be well-mannered and composed throughout the security check and plane ride. You might recall Aristocats, the animated Disney film that tells the story of a sophisticated Parisian cat family—the elegant Duchess and her three kittens.

Cats often referred to as the “tiger’s aunt”, exude a poised vibe and it’s quite evident from the video. Sponge Cake and Donut are seen cuddling each other in one carrier during their plane ride.  The furballs didn’t show any signs of discomfort and their essentials were kept handy in their backpacks under their respective seats in front of them.
