Cirium Aviation Analytics has released a report stating the monthly on-time performance of the airlines for May 2023. The on-time airlines have been divided into various lists, like Europe airlines, Asia-Pacific airlines, Global airlines, etc. According to the report of last month , April 2023, IndiGo Airlines had topped the list of on-time Asia-Pacific Airlines. But the May report states that the airline ranks at number three. 

IndiGo Airlines Slips Down On The On-Time Asia Pacific Airlines List

IndiGo airlines is known as one of India’s least expensive and biggest airlines. In the Cirium Aviation Analytics March report, for ‘On Time Performance’ Airlines, IndiGo had topped the list. But as we take a look at the April report, the airlines can be seen slipping down to third rank. 

With 56,490 flights as the total number of flights, the airline has achieved 85.01 percent on-time arrivals. In March, the airlines had an 89.02 percent rate for on-time arrival (OTA). Out of 56,490 total flights, 99.85 percent were tracked. The list also stated the completion factor of the airlines, which was 99.73 percent.

Low-Cost Carrier Category

Cirium Aviation Analytics has a separate category where it has mentioned the top 10 most on-time low-cost carriers. Taking a look at the list, IndiGo airlines was seen at the 10th position with 55,490 flights and an on-time arrival rate of 85.01 percent. 

The airline was on the 4th rank in last month’s report with a completion rate of 99.66 percent and an on-time arrival rate of 89.02 percent.

The Cirium Aviation Analytics report is curated by taking various factors into consideration. These factors include travel analytics, airline schedules, fleet data, and flight information. It helps the aviation industry in many ways. It mainly helps it understand the past, future, and present of the air travel industry.
