Redditors Share Tips To Tackle Bengaluru Water Crisis
What are hilarious ways to save water in this crisis?

A Redditor, @Renderedperson enquired fellow Bengalureans about some hilarious ways to save water. Some of the Redditor’s personal suggestions included reversing one’s underwear to use it the next day. And even starting a “bringing your kid to office” initiative to bathe the child in the office’s gym shower. Another tip included showering with one’s significant other. And if that wasn’t enough, the Netizen also envisioned a startup where water would be delivered to one’s doorstep in just 10 minutes.
The post garnered over 427 upvotes and over 180 comments. @TinySpirit3444 recommended people to piss on their plants instead of watering them. To this, a Netizen advised against it as human urine is too strong for plants. Their suggestion? Dilute the urine in a 1:10 ratio before nourishing plants. For authentic Silicon Valley feels (and to save water, of course) a Netizen suggested using toilet paper instead of a bidet or jet spray.
Some Tips Are “Don’t Brush, Use Mouthwash” & “Avoid Cooking”
Another person recommended Bengalureans dine at restaurants instead of cooking at home. In their opinion, it saves water as it won’t involve using water for cooking and washing utensils. @jalebi-420 remembered an RJ’s advice— drink beer, save water. @Secret-Success shared more tips, many of which were quite innovative and thoughtful. Their tips include air or sun-drying clothes instead of washing them with water.

Another involved filling water bottles in one’s office. Then, the tips got a little hard to digest. The Netizen advised Bengalureans to eat all meals at office and avoid cooking at home. When it comes to plants, @Secret-Success said, “Sell them back to the nursery.” “Don’t brush, just use Colgate mouthwash. Go for a clean shave or go bald,” said the Redditor.
