Jaipur street food, here we come! Skip the polished dining rooms and follow the scent of sizzling oil and fresh ghee that will take you to some of the best street foods in Jaipur. After all, this city lives and breathes through its food. From spicy, deep-fried classics to sugary sweets, what doesn’t Pink City have? And to make sure you don’t miss the best in the city, here’s a list of a few dishes that you just can’t miss.

Best Of Jaipur’s Street Food

1. Pyaaz Kachori

Ask any Jaipurite where to grab a pyaaz kachori, and they’ll point you straight to Rawat. Right by the bus stand, this no-nonsense joint serves fat and crispy kachoris, a must-have street food in Jaipur, bursting with a fiery onion filling. It’s messy, hot, and absolutely worth the wait. Don’t miss the ghee oozing out, that’s a taste of Jaipur royalty.

2. Mirchi Vada

At Samrat, they don’t just serve mirchi vadas, they create a delightfully satiating magic. Huge green chillies are stuffed with masala potato, and deep-fried till they turn golden-brown, trust us, it is one of the finest examples of the magic of Jaipur’s street food. They can be devoured after bathing them in chutney or as it is too.

3. Dal Baati Churma

At Santosh, you’ll get crispy baatis smeared in ghee, spicy dal, and a sweet churma that tastes like something your grandmother would make. It’s hearty, heavy, and very comforting. We bet, this dish will make you say, ain’t no street food like Jaipur street food!

4. Ghee Jalebi

Laxmi Mishthan Bhandar, or as locals call it–LMB, doesn’t do shortcuts. Their jalebis are thick, sticky spirals fried in pure ghee and dipped in sugar syrup with hints of saffron. You can’t stop at one bite and if you are able to gobble on more than two, then congrats, you have earned a place in Jaipur’s foodie community.

5. Makhaniya Lassi

This isn’t a drink, it’s a dairy dream in a cup. Thick as yogurt, with a cloud of malai on top, Lassiwala’s Makhaniya Lassi is all shades of chilled goodness. You’ll finish it before you even find a place to sit.

6. Kathi Roll

It’s a roll that hits the spot! At Al Bake, your rumali roti comes loaded with spicy chicken or paneer, onions, mint chutney, and all things nice. It’s a grab-and-go street food in Jaipur that is bound to satiate you to the core.

7. Masala Chai & Bun Maska

Morning crowds gather at Gulab Ji Chaiwala, a roadside legend in Jaipur that sees people lining up for steaming masala chai and bun maska even before half the city wakes up! Redefining Jaipur’s steed food, this place literary wakes up the city with its chai and food! 

Where: Gulab Ji Chaiwala, Opposite Ganpati Plaza, MI Road, Jaipur
When: 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Cost: ₹25 (chai), ₹20–₹30 (bun maska)

8. Pav Bhaji

This isn’t Mumbai, but thanks to Pandit Pav Bhaji, Jaipur street food for the win again! The bhaji here is spicy, buttery, and slightly charred, while the pav is crunchy to its very core. Don’t skip the optional cheese topping, it’s worth the extra ten bucks.

9. Egg Pizza Omelette

Bored of basic breakfast? Then you need to try veggie-filled and crunchy treats that await you at Sanjay Omelette! A Jaipur street food speciality, Sanjay’s Pizza Omelette is a glorious mess filled with layers of egg, cheese, veggies, masala and sometimes even Maggi. It is chaotic and weirdly addictive, and it has now become a cult favourite in the city.

10. Rabri Ghewar

Jaipur’s street food landscape is not complete without some sweets and you don’t need a festival to enjoy ghewar here. Bombay Misthan Bhandar’s (BMB) rabri ghewar comes with a generous topping of thickened milk and is sweet enough to put you down for a baby-like sleep. Buy at least half a kilo, or you’ll regret it as soon as you reach home.
