In the latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, we explored Central Delhi and the National School of Drama with renowned Bollywood casting director and filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra. A Delhi boy since childhood, Mukesh has made a name for himself in the Hindi film industry and we played a fun game of ‘One Word’ with him. He had to describe some of the biggest Bollywood stars he has worked with in just one word and here’s how it went down.
Mukesh Chhabra Describes Bollywood Actors In One Word
Mukesh Chhabra has worked with almost all the superstars that light up the big screen, but to make the game interesting, we picked a few that he has worked quite closely with. We started the game with Rajkummar Rao, and Mukesh replied with “Dhakkad talent.” For Nawazuddin Siddiqui, he said, “Silent killer, aankho se khel leta hai woh.” Coming to Kareena Kapoor Khan, he feels she is a “bomb who can act.”
Coming to Sanya Malhotra, Mukesh Chhabra said, “Woh mere ghar ka bacha hai. Dangal se dekha hai usse. Bahut talented hai, she is an amazing dancer and I feel usse ek film karni chahiye jiss main she can dance.”
Next, we had to ask him about Shah Rukh Khan and he said, “Humari Hindustan ki shaan, Bollywood ki shaan!” About Salman Khan, he said, “Sab ka bhai, he is always there for everyone. Mujhe jitna pyaar Khan family ne diya hai, despite being an outsider in the industry, is very amazing. The whole family is beautiful and lovable!”
According to him, Kangana Ranaut is the best female actor in the industry. About Farah Khan, he said, “After my mother, if there is female energy in my life, then it has to be Farah Khan and Kriti Sanon. After my mom passed away, they have mentally and emotionally supported me.”
Finally, we asked him about Anurag Kashyap and he shared that he has a love-hate relationship with him.

Bollywood Actors Launched By The Renowned Casting Director
While gorging on some Ram Laddus, we asked Mukesh Chhabra if he could remember how many actors he has launched in his career. He replied, “Number toh yaad nahi hai par, but kaffi hai. Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, Tripti Dimri, Sobhita Dhulipala, Avinash Tiwary, Mrunal Thakur…bahut saare log hai.”
