This scenic village, also known as the gateway to Mayar Valley, in the mountains is best for a day trip. Unfortunately, it does not yet have a lodging option for tourists but if you are into camping, it is a perfect find. For others, your nearest village is Keylong, 54 km away from Udaipur. Just a quick google search will help you find a hotel in Keylong that best suits your budget.

Fun fact, there was a time when Udaipur was known as Markul, influenced by its most remarkable possession, Markula Devi Temple. However, in 1695, it was renamed Udaipur after king Udai Singh of Chamba.
