Germany Welcomes UAE Travellers Regardless Of Vaccination Status

The German Federal Government has eased travel rules for UAE travellers. As per the new rule, Bahrain and the UAE are added to Germany’s safe list. The news follows the previous inclusions of Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia to the list. Read on to find out the new rules and guidelines.

A Negative PCR Test Is Mandatory Prior To Travel

As per the new rule, all travellers twelve years and above regardless of individual vaccination status, can now enter the country. However, all travellers must show a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of travel, a valid vaccination certificate, or proof of recovery.

“The new travel regulations for GCC visitors makes travel to Germany easier and more appealing for travellers,” commented Yamina Sofo, Director of Sales and Marketing of the German National Tourist Office. “The winter season remains an important travel period for Germany, and this news will support regional travellers’ interest in exploring the array of festive seasonal markets, spa and wellness retreats, and outdoor sporting activities across Germany.”

The EU issues and updates its recommendations to member states regularly. The safe list is reviewed and revised every two weeks by the EU authorities and members states.

Currently, Etihad operates flights to Germany, from Abu Dhabi. The national airline flies to both Munich and Frankfurt. From Dubai, travellers can fly with Emirates to Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich.

Germany Introduces Work Visa For Skilled Workforce

Meanwhile, Germany is now seeking a skilled workforce in the nation as the Covid cases slowly reduce. The European country seeks to jump-start its economy and its looking fr people with specific skills from across the world. The best part is that the job seeker visa for Germany is a Long-Term Residency Permit. This allows job applicants to stay in Germany for 6 months while looking for a job. If at the end of 6 months, the applicant gets a job, the individual will be given a German work visa or a German work permit. And they will get permission to live and work in Germany.

While this is a wonderful opportunity for people looking to shift to Germany for better opportunities. Here’s something to keep in mind. Firstly, if an applicant has a job seeker via, it doesn’t mean the person can commence work immediately. It only means that the person can visit the country and look for a job during the stay.
