Ghaziabad To Get ₹2,200 Crore Makeover; International Cricket Stadium, Resorts & Malls Planned

Ghaziabad, a major city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, is all set to undergo a major transformation. The upcoming ₹2,200 crore mega project planned by the Ghaziabad Development Authority will transform this place into a hub for sports, tourism, and much more. Ghaziabad To Undergo Massive Transformation 

If you live in Ghaziabad, then this news must be exciting for you. The place, which is popularly known as the gateway to Uttar Pradesh, will soon undergo a makeover. According to The New Indian Express, the state government has now approved an International Cricket Stadium and Aerocity project worth ₹2,200 crore in the district.

Under this project, western Uttar Pradesh will get its first international cricket stadium. Not just that, the project will help Ghaziabad become a major tourism hub in the state. According to the Ghaziabad Development Authority, under the plan in Raj Nagar Extension, the International Cricket Stadium will be developed on 37 acres at a cost of about ₹400 crore. 

Around the stadium, an Aerocity township will be built across 380 acres with a cost of approximately ₹1800 crore. Together, both these projects will form an integrated hub for sports, business, tourism, and other activities.

Stadium, Luxury Resorts, Malls & More 

According to The New Indian Express, the stadium will be built as per international standards. It will have a seating capacity of more than 30,000 people along with a modern media centre and a high-tech lighting system. Meanwhile, the Aerocity will include large hotels, luxury resorts, shopping malls, retail zones, high-tech business hubs, office spaces, and entertainment centres. 

Authorities are also planning a sports academy, residential complexes, and green spaces. All these initiatives for Ghaziabad will definitely help make the area a major attraction for both domestic and international tourists. It will also help generate jobs for locals and give a boost to the economy.
