1. Saudi Arabia Sets Hajj Leaves
In first, Saudi Arabia has set 10 to 15 days of leave for Hajj pilgrims. This was revealed by the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. In fact, the paid leaves also include the Eid Al Adha holiday.
2. Dust Storm Makes Travelling Impossible In Kuwait

Travel was disrupted in Kuwait as a dust storm with wind speed exceeding 60 km/h took over. As a result, weather warnings were issued by the Meteorology Department on Friday afternoon, May 2. With visibility dropping below 1,000 metres in open regions, it was the roads and the highways that were hit the hardest.
3. GISEC Global Dates Announced For Dubai
As revealed online, the Dubai World Trade Centre will be hosting GISEC Global from May 6 to 8. This will be the 14th edition of this event and will feature over 750 global cybersecurity brands. The cyber drill will feature information on security professionals and experts from more than 160 countries will also be participating.

4. Sheikh Mohammed Announces AI As Mandatory School Subject
Recently, his highness Sheikh Mohammad announced that AI will now become a mandatory part of the school curriculum in the UAE. As it happens, it is a part of a long-term vision of equipping future generations in a world that is rapidly transforming.
5. Oman Snacks, First Rank In Asia In Open Data Index
It was recently revealed that Oman has ranked first and West Asia and ninth globally in the Open Data Index for 2024. The rose 10 places from its previous position in 2022.
