Dubai and world records go hand in hand. Be it having a record for the world’s tallest building or largest infinity pool indoors, Dubai always manages to beat its record. And now Dubai has done it again, this time with Global Village. Dubai’s Global Village has broken its 23rd of a planned 25 world records for its silver jubilee edition. Here’s everything you must know about it.

Global Village Created Mosaic For 100 Million Meals With 2,500 Lanterns

Dubai’s Global Village has broken the world record for creating a mosaic that read ‘100,000,000 meals’ using 2,500 lanterns. The mosaic was created to support HH Sheikh Mohammed’s 100 Million Campaign for Ramadan this year.

Global Village Close For The Season On Sunday, May 2

The lanterns used to create the mosaic were later distributed among guests for free. In terms of the records, Global Village needs to break two more records to achieve the target of 25 Guinness World Records. The Global closes for the season on Sunday, May 2, and we hope that they do manage to break two records till then.

When it comes to the 100 Million Meals campaign- it aims to provide disadvantaged communities across the world with food parcels to enable the needy to cook and prepare their meals throughout Ramadan. And within 10-days of its launch, the campaign has already achieved its 100 million marks. Many countries like Egypt, Pakistan, etc., have already received their parcel.
