This vegetarian protein source is full of nutrients and gluten-free, making it ideal for people who struggle to digest wheat. Ragi is also rich in calcium, iron and fibre. It supports bone health and helps strengthen immunity. The best part is that ragi is easy to include in an Indian diet. You can eat it as chapati, porridge or cheela made using ragi flour. Ragi contains around 7-8 grams of protein per 100 grams.

2. Moringa

Moringa is slowly gaining popularity as a superfood in India. This vegetarian protein source contains all essential amino acids. It is an excellent plant-based protein option for people who do not consume chicken or eggs. Moringa is also packed with vitamins A, C, E and B, along with antioxidants. You can add moringa powder to smoothies, juices and soups. Apart from that, fresh moringa leaves and drumsticks can also be used in curries. 5. Kodo Millet Flour
