Italian Artist Celebrates Spain’s FIFA World Cup Victory

Meet Dario Gambarin, the Italian land artist making headlines for creating a massive image of the FIFA World Cup 2026 trophy in a wheat field near Verona. Using only a tractor, plough and rotary harrow, Gambarin carved the intricate artwork into the field, with the word ‘Espana’ etched beneath the trophy. Drone footage of the creation has since gone viral.

According to Storyful, the artwork was designed to be viewed from above and was created entirely using agricultural equipment. Gambarin said the piece symbolises the true spirit of international sport, where nations come together to compete while respecting one another and the rules of the game.

He added that sporting rivalries should end with mutual respect, highlighting that handshakes and hugs between opponents matter more than the final result.
