Abhishek Sharma is heading to the Asian Games 2026, but it looks like the Indian opener is not taking any chances when it comes to packing. A video of the cricketer at the airport has gone viral, and the reason is simple: his six suitcases! The India opener was spotted travelling with a rather impressive amount of luggage ahead of his Asian Games campaign. And naturally, the internet had questions!

While no one knows exactly what made it into all those bags, social media users were quick to come up with their own theories.

One of the most hilarious reactions asked, “Kitne saal ke liye aaye ho bhai?” Others joked that Sharma must have packed enough skincare products for the entire trip, while some even wondered if he was carrying a tent with him.

According to The Free Press Journal, the jokes come at an interesting time, especially with reports of logistical challenges faced by athletes arriving in Nagoya for the Asian Games. From delays in room allocation and transport issues to concerns around food and accommodation, several athletes have reportedly faced difficulties upon arrival.

So, perhaps Abhishek Sharma was simply making sure he had everything he needed!

Cricketer Heads To Asian Games After Record-Breaking Knock

The six-suitcase moment comes just days after Abhishek made headlines for his explosive performance against Afghanistan. In the third T20I in Delhi, the left-handed batter smashed 108 runs off just 34 balls, reaching his century in only 30 deliveries. The knock also saw him register the fastest T20I hundred by an Indian batter, surpassing Rohit Sharma’s previous record.

He finished the three-match series with 229 runs and was named Player of the Series as India completed a 3-0 sweep against Afghanistan.
