Good news for everyone who is travelling to Goa anytime soon! If you’ve been to the state before, you know that beautiful though the state might be, getting around town can get a bit expensive. Taxis are not the cheapest. Many have complained that taking a flight between Goa and Mumbai might be cheaper than travelling within the state via taxis. However, all that will change as the new Goa Taxi App will make travelling within the state cheaper and more convenient.

Goa Taxi App is a brand-new cab aggregating platform for travelling within the state. Launched on September 15, Friday, it is said to make travelling within the state more convenient and cheaper. The app was launched by the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant.
It was inaugurated in the presence of Rohan Khaunte, the Minister of Tourism of Goa as well as Ganesh Gaonkar who is the chairman of GTDC and Suneel Anchipaka, the director of Tourism. GTDC is the Goa Tourism Development Corporation.
The move is undertaken in order to increase the tourist footfall in the region. Since travelling within the state will get cheaper, it is hoped that it will attract more tourists to visit the state. The soft launch of the app took place six months ago.
