Goa To Shut Down Illegal Massage Parlours; Cross Massages Banned

The Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant has directed cracking down of all the massage parlours in the beach state from June 6, 2022. From now, no massage parlours will be allowed to operate in Goa. The government has also put a complete ban on cross messaging. According to the CM, Goa doesn’t provide any licencing to massage parlours. He said that they had been operating in the state illegally. Only registered beauty parlours, spas and ayurvedic spas are allowed to offer services. The decision to strictly ban the operations of massage parlours came after Goa registered a case of assaulting and looting tourists in a message parlour in Mapusa.

The Decision Came After The Thrashing And Looting Of 11 Tourists In A Massage Parlour In Goa

The incident of looting took place when 11 teenagers were returning from Goa. On their way back, they met a young group who promised them food at discounted prices. The young group took the teenagers to a nearby massage parlour and said that there was a hotel above the parlour. The teenagers had no idea what was transpiring next. The young group locked the teenagers inside a room. 15 people entered the room and took away all their valuable belongings, including money and gold ornaments. The dacoits even forcefully made them transfer money from the accounts of their relatives.

The Teenagers Were Threatened At Knifepoint

According to a Times of India report, the miscreants also threatened the teenagers at knifepoint and said that they would remove their kidneys. The teenagers were also brutally beaten up. The cops have arrested six people after the incident.
