Goa Is Now Home To Heritage Concerts With Traditional Food & Music

We all know about the parties, beaches and cocktails of Goa. But now you can delve into the traditional side of the state too through Heritage Home Concerts. Started by Schubert Fernandes and musician Omar De Loiola Pereira, the concerts will be a true treat for music aficionados. These concerts will feature soul-stirring Goan songs, dance performances and more coupled with delectable Goan snacks. The mellifluous voices, the tunes of the violin and the chords of the guitar will make your evening at the concert a memorable one. The first concert took place at Pereira’s family home, Solar Loiola Pereira in South Goa.

The Concerts Aim To Preserve The Folk Culture Of Goa

The performers at Heritage Home Concerts will take guests on a beautiful journey through the popular music forms of Goa like Konkani and Portuguese. The live concerts are aimed to entertain guests, soothe their senses and at the same time, preserve the folk culture of Goa. Fernandes and Pereira had started an online platform Sounds From Goa in November 2020. The debut session of the platform was named Nostalgia Sessions which featured legendary Goan tracks. After the pandemic ended, Sounds From Goa took its physical form with these heritage concerts.
