The real-life cottage used as Gordon’s home in the Prime Video series is opening its doors to guests on Airbnb this October. And, thankfully, it looks every bit as dreamy off-screen.
Meet The Real Gordon Bay Cottage
Called Gordon Bay Cottage, the historic property sits on Lake Joseph in Ontario’s Muskoka region. It dates back to 1902, when it was built as a summer hotel. Later, the property became a lodge for hunters and fishermen, and much of its original structure remains intact.
That history is a big part of its appeal! The century-old windows, screened porch and waterfront setting have the sort of old-school Muskoka character that Sterling Point leans into so well.
Then there is the porch!
The cottage has an enormous 800-square-foot screened porch overlooking the lake, along with five bedrooms and a private dock. Guests can take out canoes, kayaks and paddleboards, swim from the dock, gather around the fireplace or simply sit outside and stare at the Muskoka sky.
Basically, it is the kind of place where making coffee and staring at a lake could become your entire morning to-do.

Yes, This Is The Cottage From Sterling Point
For anyone who watched the series and immediately wanted to know where all that lake-country drama was actually filmed, here is the fun part.
Sterling Point follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson, who travels from New York to Muskoka after learning that her estranged grandfather has died and left her a remote island. Her summer quickly turns into a tangle of family secrets, new relationships and complicated inheritance questions.
Muskoka plays a much bigger role than simply providing pretty scenery. Creator Megan Park wanted the region to feel like a character in its own right, with the series exploring its cottage culture, changing communities and the friction between longtime residents and wealthy newcomers.
And Gordon’s cottage? You really can visit it!
There is one catch, though. The exterior and waterfront scenes of Gordon’s cottage were filmed at the real Muskoka property. The interiors were recreated on a soundstage in Toronto. So, yes, you can stay at the actual filming location. No, you will not be walking into the exact fictional bedroom from the show.
