Employment scams are trending a lot nowadays but are no new concept. This scam has been going on for decades and the majority of the jobs promised are in the Gulf region. The latest case was highlighted by a Goan woman who was duped by two agents. Similar to a lot of cases from the past, she was promised a good job in Bahrain but the plan didn’t go well when she landed in the country. See what happens next!
Goan Women Duped By Two Agents In Bahrain
Post reaching the country, the 23-year-old woman felt something fishy. She was asked to do household work in Bahrain by the agents. But that was not the job offered to her initially, she refused to do so. The agent then filed a case of theft against her and took her phone away so she could be in a helpless situation.
Somehow the woman approached the Bahrain authorities and explained her situation. Bahrain authorities were super supportive and immediately informed the Indian Embassy of the country. Connections were made and the Goan woman was finally able to speak to her family back in India.

Rescued By Mumbai Crime Branch And Brought Back To India
After the call from the Bahrain Authorities informing about her situation to her family, her uncle stepped forward. He informed the Mumbai crime branch about the situation. The Goan woman left India for Bahrain on February 27th 2023. Her uncle after comprehending the situation approached the Mumbai crime branch on March 14th 2023. Till then she was stuck in an unknown city.
Finally, after continued efforts by the Bahrain and Mumbai authorities, the girl was rescued and brought back to India. She landed in Delhi by taking a flight from Dubai.
There would be multiple cases similar to this that happens on a daily basis. Few of them don’t even reach the authorities.
