More than 500 shops in Gold Souq reopen following comprehensive sterilization campaign, and amid strict precautionary measures to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being. Home to hundreds of jewellery stores, the Gold Souk is adhering to strict safety measures in order to protect the health of customers and workers alike.
Stores in souk are following reduced opening hours of 11am to 9am, with wholesale offices open from 1oam to 5pm.

In addition, the souk will also function at a 30% capacity in order to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition, staff must follow physical distancing rules, and will also be given gloves, facemasks and sanitizers.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers, prior to opening, the Deira Gold Souq and its stores underwent a complete and extensive sterilisation programme under the strict guidelines of the Department of Economic Development (DED).

Dubai Tourism in a recent circular announced the reopening of water sport activities. The circular mentions certain restrictions under which these facilities can operate.
Water Sports & Other Outdoor Activities
Dubai Tourism announced the reopening of water sports and all other outdoor activities which require individuals or groups of less than five people. This includes water sport activities like jet skiing, biking, boat rentals, and bike rentals. All boats must be sanitized thoroughly. In addition, not more than five people will be permitted at a given time. Indoor and sports activities will continue to remain shut.
Besides, those using the services must wear a facemask and gloves, bring their own clothes as well as undergo temperature check. Jet skiing is limited to one person while sky diving is allowed but with reduced capacity. Masks must be worn at all times, except while diving.
Beaches
Private beaches are now open for guests staying in the hotel but with a 30% cap. However, beach access passes are not permitted to be issued at the moment. Groups up to 10 people can access the beach together, but must maintain a 2 meter distance among themselves. Guests must wear masks at all times as well as carry their own clothes. All other hotel amenities like pools, saunas, spas, gyms and kids clubs will continue to remain closed.
Public beaches will also remain closed.
