Delhi commuters can breathe a sigh of relief as metro services are now operating normally. On Sunday morning, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that entry gates at all stations across the metro network had been reopened after several stations remained closed for the past four days.
Delhi Metro Services Back To Normal
According to the Times of India, normal entry and exit have resumed at all Delhi Metro stations. As the student protest at Jantar Mantar came to an end on Sunday, DMRC lifted restrictions on passenger entry, allowing commuters to access train services through all gates at all stations across the Delhi Metro network.
After four days of turmoil and disruption, normal operations have resumed at Shivaji Stadium, Mandi House, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court and New Delhi metro stations, among others. As many as 18 stations were shut as part of security arrangements in central Delhi amid the CJP protests.
On Sunday morning, DMRC took to X to announce, “All stations of the Delhi Metro network are open (both entry and exit) for passenger services.”

Airport Express Line Was Also Affected
The Delhi Metro service disruptions over the past week caused significant inconvenience for office-goers, students and daily commuters. Apart from restricted entry and exit at several stations, interchanges at key metro stations were also suspended for hours on multiple days, leading to widespread travel disruptions across the city.
According to Mint, Airport Express Line services were also affected on Saturday due to the restrictions. Train services operated only between Dhaula Kuan and Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25, disrupting travel for passengers heading to and from the airport and other parts of the city.
