Try Flavoured Olive Oil & Binge On Authentic Lebanese Food At Grand Beirut

Located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the restaurant is spread across 465–square-meter space and is inspired by the flora of Lebanon. Raw concrete surfaces are spruced up with bold and colorful rustic art pieces, making it a gram-worthy dining spot in the city. As the name suggest, the restaurant offers delectable flavors from the quaint streets of Lebanon. However, the restaurant also boasts a unique feature.

While you wait for your order to arrive, check out the restaurant’s one-of-its-kind olive oil and vinegar tasting display. A first of this kind in Dubai, the restaurant has a wall which stocks a range of unique oil and vinegar flavours. Foodies can get experimental with avocado, lemon and basil-infused oils, or opt for niche varieties such as white truffle and raspberry. Most of the fusion oils are made in-house. Diners can taste the special oils with the restaurants speciality breads or salads.

Olive oil wall aside, the restaurant instantly transports you to Lebanon’s pretty streets. The walls are decked with colourful murals while the entire place is drenched in greenery, much like the gorgeous city of Beirut. Hand-painted musical instruments adorn the ceiling, paying homage to Lebanon’s art, culture, and music.

As for the menu, foodies can expect traditional Lebanese dishes, with enhanced flavours. Guests can binge on mkhattara, a dish of poached eggs, served on spiced hash brown halloumi, or the shanklish fondue, with oven-melted cheese and roasted tomatoes. And of course, don’t leave the premises without indulging in some Lebanese desserts. The crispy kunafa and the halawet el jibin; which comes topped with Lebanese ashta ice cream are a must try when here.

In addition, the restaurant also serves regional favorites like hummus, moutabel, hot and cold mezze favourites, salads and mains.

Grand Beirut is currently in its soft opening phase, but the restaurant has big plans in the coming months. Foodies can expect three more branches this year. The first one will be at The Galleria, Abu Dhabi in August, while another outlet is planned to launch in time for Expo 2020 Dubai. There will also be a fourth branch in Al Qana, Abu Dhabi in December.
