A total of 32 lakh passengers have travelled on five different pairs of Vande Bharat trains operating from Gujarat in just 13 months. The reason? 32 Lakh Passengers Travelled On Vande Bharat Trains
Between January 1, 2025, and January 31, 2026, a total of 32 lakh passengers chose to travel on Vande Bharat trains from Gujarat. According to a report by The Times of India, railway data showed that passenger response remained consistent and even exceeded capacity on certain corridors. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Mumbai Vande Bharat recorded around 140% occupancy.
The Ahmedabad-Okha service recorded 90% occupancy, while the Sabarmati-Jodhpur Vande Bharat crossed 81%. Officials believe passengers are choosing Vande Bharat trains not just because they are fast but also highly comfortable. The Ahmedabad-Mumbai Vande Bharat emerged as a preferred option for professionals and frequent travellers as it offers a time-saving connection between two major cities.

Cleanliness, Comfort And Amenities
According to a report by The Times of India, railways also recorded positive passenger feedback in categories like cleanliness, punctuality and safety standards. Moreover, these Vande Bharat trains offer onboard amenities such as ergonomic coaches, reclining seats and adequate legroom. Comfortable seats actually play a huge role for passengers, especially during long journeys. They make travel more relaxing and help improve overall experience.
Not just that, the trains also have multiple charging points and infotainment systems. Catering services with pre-packed meals and regional menus have also helped improve the passenger experience. All these factors could be the reason Indian Railways recorded 32 lakh passengers from Gujarat on Vande Bharat trains in just 13 months.
