Foodies in South Mumbai, we have some good news for you all. The iconic Guru Kripa has opened its first branch near the Royal Opera House! Yes, Sion’s much-loved samosas and mithai have finally landed in South Mumbai and it’s a dream come true for all the food lovers in the city.
Guru Kripa Opens First Branch In South Mumbai
Since 1975, Guru Kripa has been winning the hearts of foodies in Mumbai with its iconic samosas, sev barfi, and laddus. Over the years, the small thela in Sion expanded to become one of the most loved eateries in the city that even legends like Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and culinary icons like Sanjeev Kapoor and Ranveer Brar couldn’t resist.
Now, after completing almost five decades in the city, Guru Kripa has finally opened a new branch in South Mumbai. According to The Indian Express, the new outlet is now open near the Royal Opera House on Charni Road. The eatery’s third-gen torchbearers Bharat and Sunaina said this is their gift to their grandfather. They shared that they have addressed a long-standing customer request by opening the eatery’s first official branch.

A New Address For Everyone’s Favourite Eatery
Guru Kripa’s Charni Road outlet is spread across 800 sq ft and serves as both a mithai retail outlet and a delivery kitchen. While the Sion outlet is steeped in nostalgia with its classic mithai-and-snack shop charm, the new South Mumbai outlet brings a more elevated and modern experience to the brand. It also has a “wall of fame” that features celebrity visitors and has captured key milestones in the brand’s journey. While customers at the original outlet could stand and enjoy their grub, the new one is a strictly takeaway and delivery eatery.
