We live in a world where bizarre incidents take place. One such event happened in Gurugram. An elaborate Hindu wedding ceremony of two dogs took place. The owners of the former stray dog Sweety were thrilled. Sweety was married to their neighbour’s pet Sheru. Moreover, the ceremony observed every ritual in the Hindu religion.
The Wedding Of Sweety And Sheru
Rani, Sweety’s owner, recalled a stray dog following her husband on his way back home three years ago. Immediately, she got attached to her and adopted Sweety. Since then, they have treated Sweety as their child. Sheru’s owner Manita admitted to having a casual talk with the neighbours about the marriage of their dogs. Further, Manita confirmed that Sheru has been with them for the past eight years and is their child.

The owners sent almost a hundred invites. The whole setup included baraatis, dhols, and a traditional wedding procession. But, the Haldi ceremony and pheras is the most surprising element. According to the owners, they had planned the wedding in four days. The fear of cops arresting them was the least of their concerns.
Further, Rani stated that for a childless couple this was their only happiness. She also spoke about people’s reactions to this wedding and their mixed opinions. However, her only focus was on how they felt about this wedding and their desires.
Nonetheless, this isn’t the only animal wedding to take place in India. Recently, two dogs were married in Saunkhar village in the Hamirpur district. A toad wedding in Kolkata and a frog wedding in Siliguri are some examples.
