Being featured on the list honours the design, innovation, cultural identity, and sustainability of these airports.
2 Indian Airports Make It To World’s Most Beautiful Airports List 2026
The Prix Versailles is a prestigious global architecture and design award announced every year at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The award celebrates some of the world’s most stunning structures that blend aesthetics with sustainability and heritage. For the first time, two Indian airports have made it to the World’s Most Beautiful Airports 2026 list, marking a proud moment for the country.
Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) in Mumbai and Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA)in Guwahati are both part of Adani Airport Holdings Limited. The recognition reflects AAHL’s focus on building world-class airports that support growth, tourism, and regional development. Plus, it also highlights the company’s commitment. Both Indian airports were recognised for their design, innovation, sustainability, and passenger experience.

Lotus-Inspired Design & Bamboo Orchid Architecture
Mumbai’s Navi Mumbai International Airport Terminal 1 has been recognised for its beautiful lotus-inspired architecture and futuristic design. Meanwhile, Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport Terminal 2 was honoured for its ‘Bamboo Orchid’ design.
Along with these two airports, five other international airports have also been recognised on the list. These include airports in Guangzhou, China; Frankfurt am Main, Germany; Kandal Stueng, Cambodia; Pittsburgh, United States; and San Diego, United States.
Talking about the achievement, a spokesperson for Adani Airport Holdings Ltd said, “We are honoured to see our airports recognised on a global platform and remain committed to delivering world-class experiences that position India among the leading aviation markets of the world. The spokesperson also added, “At Adani Airports, we see airports as important connectors of people and regions.”
