There are some plans that the Biden administration will announce for the renewal procedure of H-1B visas. PM Modi has travelled to the United States recently and during his visit there, the government plans to launch the news. There has been no official confirmation on this subject yet. According to a report by India Today, the State Department is likely to notify residents of the news by Thursday. It is being said that some Indians living in the US with H-1B visas will be able to renew their visas without crossing borders. They can complete all the steps in the country itself. In fact, many foreign employees working in the US will be eligible to use this service under this pilot programme.

Also, some L-1 visa holders working in the United States will also experience the benefits of this new programme.

A huge number of Indians are currently living in this foreign country with their H-1B visas. When the time comes to renew it, they need to travel out of the US to stamp their extension on the passport. A spokesperson stated that this pilot programme will come into action including only a small number of people initially. There are plans to extend the programme in the upcoming couple of years.
