The much-awaited Harvest Festival is making its return to Expo City Dubai on Saturday, January 31st. And this time, it is a special Hag Al Laila edition. So, families and the entire community have been invited to come together for a one-day celebration of the Emirati Heritage, and here’s all you need to know about the upcoming event.

For those who’re wondering, Hag Al Laila Harvest Festival is a part of the Season of Wulfa, which was recently launched. As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, the festival will be running from 4 PM to 10 PM, which will offer visitors from different cultures the opportunity to experience Emirati heritage. As the attendees flock to the venue to experience cherished UAE traditions, the festival is going to feature an exciting lineup of programmes.

These would be filled with hands-on activities, local flavours, lively entertainment, and traditional games. Not only this, but attendees will also be able to enjoy a camel parade, henna art, candy bags for children, and even interactive Hag Al Laila workshops.

Spirit Of Fun Learning

The list of programmes has been designed in such a way that it brings the spirit of Hag Al Laila through fun learning and engagement. As revealed by the community development authority, it would contribute with community-focus initiative. This would include traditional performances by students from Dubai schools. And this will also feature kiosks that will be run by home-based entrepreneurs. At these kiosks, the entrepreneurs would showcase and sell the products throughout the day.

Other Highlights Of The Festival

It should be noted that the highlight of the festival is obviously the Rashid and Latifa Duathlon. This is a fun run-and-bike race, which is perfect for children aged two to thirteen. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes and helmets to compete for exciting prizes.

Other highlights of the festival happen to be

  • Emirati-themed kids’ races and games
  • Bouncy castle and Rashid and Latifa meet-and-greet
  • Emirati candies and chocolates for all children
  • Henna and freshly-made Lugaimat

So, with a variety of offerings for people of all ages, this is an event that you absolutely cannot miss out on.
