An IndiGo Goa-Surat flight was delayed by 5 hours on September 30. With passengers eager to attend dandiya and garba events in Surat, Gujarat, and afraid of missing out on the fun due to the flight delay, they came up with a fun way to spend their time. After all, if you can’t reach Gujarat for Navratri on time, then Gujarat can come to you!
So, that’s when Goa Airport turned into a garba ground instantly. According to a report by NDTV, a passenger Mayur wanted to wrap up work early in Goa and head to Surat. But when his flight faced delays due to technical issues, he decided nothing could dampen the Navratri spirit. Mayur and his fellow passengers started performing garba. Keeping their bags aside, the passengers danced in circles, beautifully synchronising their moves.

Airline Staff Join The Performance
In a heartwarming move, the airline staff also joined the happy group. Dressed in their IndiGo uniforms, the attendants also clapped and started dancing to the tunes of Gujarati folk songs. A man standing in the centre of the circle was seen asking people to increase the radius to allow more people to join in. The airline staff even arranged for speakers, ensuring the music, dance and Navratri fever never stops.
Now that you know how passengers at Goa Airport celebrated Navratri and killed time while waiting for their flight, this could be your sign to join an impromptu garba gig!
