Happy Onam 2022: Malaika Arora Flaunts Malayali Heritage With Traditional Onam Sadhya Meal

The harvest festival, Onam is celebrated with great pomp and vigour in Kerala. It marks the arrival of King Mahabali on earth. Women dress in their finest Kasavi saris and men purchase mundu. People adorn their homes with floral rangoli called ‘pookalam‘. And the cherry on the cake is the Onam Sadhya. This is a traditional vegetarian Kerala meal relished on banana leaves. Actor, and model, Malaika Arora, a proud Malayali, flaunted her heritage. She celebrated Onam with a lip-smacking meal.

Malaika Arora Gives Glimpse Of Her Onam Sadhya Meal

Malaika Arora took to Instagram to share a story of her Onam-special meal. Her post features a beautiful platter of traditional Sadhya dishes. Onam Sadhya consists of signature delicacies like the tamarind-infused inji pulipachadi, sambar, thoranolan and many more. Malaika Arora’s platter included a potato curry, channa sundal and sambhar. And that’s not all.  Accompaniments like crispy chips, papad and chilli, complemented her meal. It was served on a steel plate topped with a banana leaf.
