We have often come across several tourist attractions where you need to pay before entering. However, some of them are way too overpriced and not even worth the money! Money-saving website SavingSpot combed through tens of thousands of TripAdvisor reviews to identify the attractions with the highest percentage of ‘expensive’ comments in an effort to identify the most pricey tourist sites in the globe. Ten of the top 20 websites were British, with one UK site even taking the top spot. Here are the top 20 most overpriced tourist attractions in the world!

According to a new study, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter tops the list of most overpriced tourist attractions in the world. For lovers of the Wizarding World, fantastic extras like a commemorative guidebook, champagne afternoon tea for two, and a digital guide would cost an additional £125.10 on top of the studio tour’s starting price of £53.50 for adults and £43 for children.

The list analysed instances of the term “expensive” in relation to entrance fees, parking fees, and food and drink prices from visitors to historical monuments, cultural landmarks, and amusement parks around the world.

The tourist attraction on the second rank is Legoland Windsor Resort. In Windsor, England, it is a theme park and resort with a Lego-related concept. For children aged three to twelve, the park’s attractions include a variety of rides, models and building workshops with a Lego theme. Legoland Windsor became the tenth-most visited theme park in Europe in 2011 and has remained there ever since. It often draws more visitors than the original Legoland Billund Resort in Denmark.

The third one on the list is the UK’s London Eye, which is a cantilevered observation wheel in London. It is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the UK and the tallest cantilevered observation wheel in all of Europe, receiving more than three million visitors annually. The observation deck on the 72nd floor of The Shard, which is 245 metres tall, dethroned The Eye as the highest point for public viewing in London in the early months of 2013.
