Chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, Bungalow NY, has made waves in the New York culinary scene since it debuted in March this year. The restaurant, which serves modern Indian cuisine, has had the honour of hosting a number of notable patrons. From Madhuri Dixit and Zakir Khan to Matt Bomer, the list goes on. Recently, the list got even longer as the famous activist and stand-up comedian Hasan Minhaj visited Vikas Khanna’s restaurant along with his wife, Beena Patel.

Chef Vikas Khanna has had the honour of hosting many eminent personalities at his New York restaurant, Bungalow. The latest in the long line of notable figures who visited the restaurant is Hasan Minhaj. The activist and standup comedian visited the restaurant with Beena Patel, his wife who is a lawyer.

In the video which was shared by the Chef, he is seen decking up his restaurant with a number of beautiful diyas as Diwali is the festival of lights. Later on in the video, even patrons Hasan Minhaj and Beena Patel are seen helping in setting up the diyas.

Even Hasan Minhaj shared a photo of them together on his Instagram stories in which he called the chef a true artist. He’s not the only one with this opinion. Almost everyone who has visited his restaurant has gushed about the innovative food they relished here.

Gearing Up For The Diwali Season At The Restaurant!

Vikas Khanna may be working in the US but he is a desi to his core. As such, he ensures that he celebrates all the desi festivals. During Raksha Bandhan, he gave out rakhi mementoes to his patrons.

During the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, he gave patrons a mini Ganesh idol carved on Areca Nuts. He even dedicated each of the ten days to each desi chef he admires and made unique modaks based on what flavours he associates with them. His passion and dedication to his craft are amply evident.
