Documents Required For UAE Golden Visa For University Students

To get a student visa in the UAE, you may need an official letter of acceptance from the university, a passport, a report from a medical fitness test, an Emirates ID application, biometrics, and health insurance.

From Where Can You Get Your Residency Visa? 

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (the ‘GDRFA – Dubai’) gives students a residency visa if they pass the medical fitness test and get the right security clearance. Most university-sponsored student visas in the UAE are good for one year and you can renew them based on the documents the university provides to show that the student is still in school. 

For How Many Years Is This Visa Valid For University Students? 

If your son has done well in school and wants to go to college in the UAE, he can apply for a 10-year Golden Visa. In this case, he lives in the UAE because he pays for it himself. One of the requirements and terms is that your son has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.8.
