Actor Janhvi Kapoor, in one of her interviews, shared about her mother Sri Devi, who would visit the Tirumala temple on her birthday every year. However, Sri Devi eventually stopped going to the temple after her marriage. Janhvi, eldest daughter of Sri Devi and Boney Kapoor informed that she now takes her film scripts to the Tirumala temple.
Janhvi Kapoor Turns Sri Devi’s Birthday Ritual To A Practise
Sri Devi’s birthday ritual of visiting the Tirumala temple stopped after her marriage. But, Janhvi had the inner feeling that she must visit the Tirumala temple during Sri Devi’s birthday. Now, Janhvi looks forward to visiting the Tirumala temple even on New Year’s Day. She shared about this ritual when asked about what she did to keep good luck on her side in a recent interview.
In Janhvi’s recent interview on Koffee With Karan, Season 7, she also said how she has been still trying to cope with the loss of her mother. Janhvi is awaiting the release of her film, Good Luck Jerry. In this film, Janhvi Kapoor plays the character of a girl who deals in drugs to support her family. Good Luck Jerry also features Deepak Dobriyal and Sushant Singh.

Tirumala Temple & Its Significance
The Tirumala temple is located in Andhra Pradesh’s temple town, Tirupati and lakhs of devotees throng the temple premises to have a darshan of Lord Venkateswara. One of the oldest religious institutions in the world, the Tirumala temple receives devotees from around the globe. And, it is one of the places that Bollywood celebrities visit quite often too. The Tirumala temple has been of significance for thousands of years for the royal families in the South as well.
