His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, on 25 December, posted a video depicting the beauty of the UAE. The 0.55-min video highlights UAE’s hidden gems including coastal lines, wadis, deserts, and magnificent forts. The ruler captioned the video “My beautiful country”. The video was released days after Sheikh Mohammed launched a campaign called ‘World’s Coolest Winter’.

UAE Launches ‘World’s Coolest Winter’ Campaign
The campaign invites people to explore and discover the myriad offerings of the emirates. The 45-days campaign is an initiative by the Ministry of Economy in collaboration with local tourism entities. The campaign highlights the major landmarks and attractions in each emirate, that contribute to portray UAE as a single destination.
The winter campaign highlights UAE’s diverse cultural, entertainment, social and sports activities during the cooler months. The campaign seeks to nurture UAE’s multi-cultural society, encouraging the public to enjoy outdoor activities and sports in the country’s beaches, mountains, deserts, oases and conservation reserves.
In attempt to encourage an active lifestyle, the campaign will also promote sporting events such as watersports, hiking, jogging, cycling, mountain biking, camping, desert safaris and beach picnics. Running through this winter, the campaign encourages families to take part in the various outdoor offerings UAE boasts. Citizens and residents across different segments are encouraged to share their stories and adventures on social media platforms.
