According to Amit Kashyap, Director of Tourism and Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), this move will divert the pressure from saturated places.

Their idea is to promote agri-tourism, adventure-tourism, and eco-tourism, as well as livelihoods for the people at their doorsteps.
