Holi is just around the corner and the craze for the colourful festival has already started all around India. Tourists travel to different cities such as Mathura, Vrindavan, and more while many people return back to their homes to celebrate the festival with pomp and glory with their loved ones. The demand for trains always witnesses a major spike at this moment of the year, and to deal with the rush of tourist footfall, Indian Railways has decided to start special trains during Holi. Over 300 trains will be operating through different corners of India so that everyone can reach their destination with ease in this festive season.
Indian Railways To Operate Hundreds Of Trains For Holi!
The Ministry of Railways shared that there will be 350 special trains running during Holi. These trains are exclusively for facilitating proper train journey experiences to passengers so that they travel to different places even with this extreme demand for trains all around the country. These trains will help in connecting smaller destinations to the big cities and let the passengers travel to so many places in India.

India Railways is actually operating the highest number of trains during the festival of Holi. They are running trains from different such as Bihar, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
Indian Railways Will Be Running These Trains:
- East Central Railway is operating released 58 Holi special trains.
- Northern Railways are running 68 Holi special trains.
- North West Railway is running 38 trains for Holi.
- A total of 39 pairs of trains will run for Bihar from cities such as Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Howrah, and more.
- There will be a special train from New Delhi station to Lucknow. This train will take stops at Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Hardoi, Moradabad, and Shahjahanpur.
- A special train will run to Katra starting from New Delhi. The stops in between are Ambala, Jalandhar, Jammu, Kurukshetra, Ludhiana, Moradabad, Pathankot, Saharanpur, and Yamunanagar.
