Mumbai, being the city of the most unexpected rain occurrences, saw showers of rain and hailstorms in the month of March. In the wee hours, several regions of Maharashtra saw this sudden shower before they welcomed Holi 2023. Some parts of Mumbai welcomed fresh downpours and thunderstorms late Sunday night. But as Mumbaikars are known for their spirits, they welcomed the first rainfall of 2023 with crazy and funny memes.

Due to two successive extra-tropical weather systems over some regions of India, the country might expect such showers between March 4 and March 8. Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh will witness light to moderate thunderstorms between these dates.
