Sometimes, all it takes is 120 pages and a story that refuses to leave your mind. For Anupriya Nagar, Hanuman Ansh began with a script, a family friend and an instant connection with Neem Karoli Baba’s life. On Curly Tales’ Stories from Bharat, speaking to Kamiya Jani, the young producer opened up about how she went from reading a screenplay to deciding that she wanted to be part of the film.
How A 120-Page Script Introduced Anupriya Nagar To Hanuman Ansh
During a visit to India, Anupriya Nagar met a family friend who told her about a film being made on Neem Karoli Baba and suggested she read the script. Curious to see how director Vishal Chaturvedi had approached the subject, she picked up the Hindi screenplay.
What followed was an emotional ride. She read all 120 pages in one sitting, moving between goosebumps, tears and moments of sheer happiness. The story had pulled her in so completely that she felt connected to the film without having watched a single frame. She no longer wanted to remain a reader. She wanted to help make it happen.
So, Anupriya Nagar approached the team and asked if there was any way she could contribute. The answer was hardly encouraging at first.

How Her Faith In Neem Karoli Baba’s Story Inspired Her Investment
The film’s team was struggling with funds. But Anupriya had savings from her job and she felt she could put some of that money towards a project she believed in.
So, she chose to back it when it needed support the most. It was a decision driven by her faith in the story, long before she could know what the finished film would look like.
