New High-Speed Sleeper Train To Connect Hong Kong, Beijing & Shanghai
To improve the travel experience and shorten travel time, a new high-speed sleeper train service is set to connect Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai. With this new service, Hong Kong also wished to deepen its relationship with mainland China. This service will start on June 15 and is expected to shorten the travel time between these cities by almost half!
As per the statement released by MTR Corporation Limited, a public transport operator in Hong Kong, this new train service will reduce travel time between Hong Kong and Beijing to 12.5 hours. Currently, it takes almost a full day by train to cover the distance between these two cities. Furthermore, the travel time between Shanghai and Hong Kong will be shortened to 11 hours from the current 19.5 hours.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, MTR Corporation Limited believes that with the introduction of sleeper trains, passengers will be able to comfortably plan their itineraries.

Everything You Need To Know About This New High-Speed Train
This new high-speed sleeper train service between Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai will run from Fridays to Mondays. The ticket fare for a trip from Hong Kong to Beijing will be around HK$937 (₹10,017). Similarly, the trip from Hong Kong to Shanghai will start at HK$682 (₹7,262). These prices will vary depending on the train class the passenger chooses. The online sales of these trains have already started.
