Hogenakkal faced an issue after the waters of the Cauvery rivers overflowed due to the heavy rains. The district administration banned the operations of the coracle ride for almost a month. Post the coming down of the Cauvery river waters, the administration has once again allowed tourists to hop on coracle rides across the Cauvery river. The admin has directed the tourists and coracle operators to wear life jackets and comply with all the guidelines. With the rides, taking a dip in the Cauvery waters will be possible now, lifting the ban. Hogennakal has tons of things for tourists to do, starting from swimming, trekking, sightseeing and more.
