Travel To New Jalpaiguri From Howrah Soon On West Bengal’s First Vande Bharat Express
Unless you’re flying to Bagdogra, it takes around nine to fourteen hours to reach Siliguri from Kolkata via train or bus. Then, you can hire a car to Darjeeling or Sikkim. But the new Vande Bharat Express can reduce the overall travel time to Darjeeling or Sikkim from Kolkata via train. You can board the train in the morning and reach New Jalpaiguri in the afternoon. Then you can take a car from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling or Sikkim. Darjeeling is around 3 hours away from Jalpaiguri by road.
