Indian Airports Made It To The Most On-Time Global Airports List
Cirium recently released its October On-Time Performance report and it mentioned the names of global airports that are known for being the most on-time. We are proud and excited to announce that Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport clinched the third and fourth rank respectively on this prestigious list.
The on-time departure of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has been reported at 88.23 per cent and the total number of flights was 14,634. For Kempegowda International Airport, the on-time departure was 87.61 per cent. The total number of flights was 19,898. The Hyderabad airport served 78 routes and the Bengaluru airport served 89 routes, according to the Airports OTP Monthly Report October 2023.
The report also revealed the summary of top performers. The total on-time departures for the month of October is 83.50 per cent. The airports entering the top 4 rankings of top performers are Salt Lake City International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, and Kempegowda International Airport respectively.

Report On Airlines Reveal Interesting Details
Airlines and airports are working towards a primary goal of reaching the travel capacity and traffic levels’ numbers of pre-pandemic times, that too within the end of 2023. October 2023 has been a spectacular year for the airline industry. Delta Air Lines emerged as a grand victory in the ranking in the world. The airline made a record of 90.84% OTP rate. SA Avianca could not top the global rankings this October but it earned first place in the Latin America region from Copa Airlines, according to the Cirium report. The airline achieved this recognition with an 88.78% OTP rate.
Cirium has released the most recent On-Time Performance report and it revealed some interesting information and numbers about different regions of the world and the passengers’ impact on flights and its numbers. Africa and the Middle East witnessed a rise in cancellation of flights. The reported number is an 86 percent increase in cancellations.
On the other hand, cancellations have seen a major decline in North America. The continent reported a decrease of 52 per cent in flight cancellations, according to the On-Time Performance report.
October was a great month for the airline industry leaders. We are waiting to see what November has in store.
