According to the Times of India, the airport has expanded its network and added 10 additional direct flights to overseas destinations. The airport currently operates direct flights to 22 international destinations.

This new expansion will take place in phases. As per reports, the first phase will see flights from Hyderabad to Hong Kong, Hanoi, Addis Ababa, and Amsterdam in the next six months. That’s not all, the airport is also in talks with several Indian and international airlines to begin operations from Hyderabad to Paris, Australia, Kathmandu, Krabi, Jakarta, and Denpasar within a year.

Currently, people flying to France and Australia from Hyderabad have a 14-hour layover in Singapore. Direct routes will reduce the travel time by half to about seven to eight hours! Similarly, travellers to Paris have to make a transit stop in West Asia, Delhi, or Mumbai. They will also be able to skip and enjoy a shorter flight after this is approved.
