Indian singer Neha Kakkar has finally broken her silence about the mayhem surrounding her recent concert in Melbourne, when she was accused of turning up late and breaking down on stage. In an Instagram post, she revealed appalling details about the mismanagement of the organiser, who allegedly left behind her band and made no arrangements for even basic facilities.

Responding to the drama, Neha Kakkar revealed that she sang for free to her Melbourne fans after the organisers made a getaway with her and other artists’ payments.
She revealed that her band remained without food, hotel booking, and even water, and it was her husband and his crew who had to come in and supply them with food. In spite of all the challenges, she proceeded with the concert, refusing to disappoint her fans.
She also indicated that the delay in her performance was caused by the failure of the organisers to pay the sound vendors, which caused a huge delay in the sound check. She said that she could not even arrive at the venue on time because the organisers didn’t respond to her calls, causing further uncertainty as to whether the concert would even be held.

Fans Had Mixed Responses
Earlier, Neha Kakkar had received flak from fans, who blamed her for being three hours late and then breaking down in tears on stage. Some of the audience members even taunted her, calling out ‘Wapas jaao hotel mein’ (Return to the hotel). But since her confession, many rallied around her.
One user said, “If this had happened, it’s not right to blame Neha Kakkar. Organisers should be blamed.” Another user said, “The fans bought tickets; they were upset. But this is appalling mismanagement.”
Another user appreciated her, saying, “She still performed for the fans despite everything. Respect!”
In spite of the backlash, Neha Kakkar was thankful to those who came to her defence. She thanked concert-goers who attended the show, wept and danced with her, and expressed their love and support.
While the scandal fuelled heated debates, her confessions revealed what goes on with artists behind the scenes, where they are forced to fight against bad management while trying to amuse their fans.
